The Chef’s Journey

When I moved from Nigeria to the U.S. in 2018, I carried with me the flavors, traditions, and warmth of home. Dallas quickly became my new home, but I noticed something was missing, authentic Nigerian food prepared with love and care.

Back in Lagos, I trained as a baker, learning how to perfect pastries and develop a sharp eye for detail in the kitchen. That training taught me that great food isn’t just about ingredients, it’s about patience, process, and passion.

What started as me cooking for friends and family soon grew into a community. People began to say, “This food is so good, it’s lickfinger worthy!” And just like that, LickFinger was born.

By 2019, we were no longer just serving food; we were serving memories, traditions, and joy, right here in Dallas.
