Equipment Use & Damage Policy

🛠️ Equipment Use & Damage Policy

At LickFinger Kitchen, we take pride in delivering a high-quality experience—not just through our food, but also through the equipment and presentation used at your event.

This policy outlines client responsibility for all equipment provided during catering services.

📦 Equipment Provided

Depending on your event, LickFinger Kitchen may provide, but is not limited to:

  • Chafing dishes & fuel burners 🔥
  • Serving trays & platters 🍽️
  • Risers & display stands
  • Utensils (serving spoons, tongs, ladles, etc.)
  • Bowls, containers & food pans
  • Beverage dispensers
  • Decorative setup items
  • Glassware (if applicable)
  • Food lamps & warming lights 💡
  • Any additional rented or owned catering equipment

All items remain the property of LickFinger Kitchen unless otherwise stated.

⚠️ Client Responsibility

Once equipment has been delivered, set up, or made accessible for your event, the client assumes full responsibility for its care and condition.

This includes responsibility for:

  • Guests at the event
  • Event staff not provided by LickFinger
  • Third-party vendors
  • Any accidents, misuse, or negligence

🚨 Damaged, Lost, or Missing Items

Any equipment that is:

  • Broken
  • Cracked
  • Burned
  • Stained beyond cleaning
  • Lost or not returned

will be subject to replacement or repair fees.

This applies to all items, including but not limited to:

  • Glassware 🍷
  • Chafing dishes & lids
  • Risers and display pieces
  • Serving utensils
  • Food containers and trays

💵 Replacement & Repair Costs

  • Charges will be based on the current market replacement value or repair cost.
  • An invoice will be sent within 24–72 hours after the event.
  • Payment is required within the timeframe stated on the invoice.
  • If a damaged item is part of a matching presentation set that can no longer be purchased individually, the client is responsible for the replacement cost of the entire set.

🔥 Equipment Misuse

Clients are responsible for ensuring proper use of all equipment.

Examples of misuse include:

  • Using incorrect fuel for chafing dishes
  • Overheating or burning equipment
  • Using items for unintended purposes
  • Improper handling of glassware or display items

Any damage resulting from misuse will be charged accordingly.

⏱️ Equipment Return

If equipment is scheduled for pickup:

  • All items must be ready and accessible at the agreed time
  • Missing items at pickup will be considered lost

Late returns or inaccessible equipment may result in additional fees.

🧼 Cleaning Expectations

Basic cleaning is appreciated but not required. However:

  • Equipment returned in excessively dirty or damaged condition may incur additional cleaning or replacement fees.
  • Please do not use abrasive sponges (like steel wool) or harsh chemicals on acrylic risers or display glass, as this causes permanent scratching and will be billed as damage.

⚖️ Agreement

By booking catering services with LickFinger Kitchen, the client agrees to this Equipment Use & Damage Policy and accepts full responsibility for all provided items during the event period.
